Howard Memorial Church of God in Christ, formally known as Eastside Church of God in Christ, was built in 1984 by late Supt. Nathaniel Howard Sr. Despite the many challenges he faced in ministry, he had faith that God would give him the strength and resources to complete the edifice. While pastoring three churches, Supt. Howard appointed his son, Elder Nathaniel Howard Jr. to Eastside Church of God In Christ in 1990.

Since 1990, Elder Nathaniel Howard Jr. has continued to do God’s work, just like his father. Pastor Nathaniel Howard Jr. is a faithful leader, who has the love of God deep in his heart.

Howard Memorial Church of God In Christ may be few in number, but their strong in spirit. Like Jesus promise in his word, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” Matthew 18:20 KJV.

God just keeps blessing us OVER and OVER again!
